- With the help of the Cardinal support techs, I solved the problem.
- The response I got was as follows:

- 1. Make sure the modem is not on com 4. Windows 95 does not communicate
- with that port properly.

- This turned out to be the problem. Even though I had no IRQ or I/O conflicts,
- my modem would not work properly on COM4. Moving it to COM1 solved the
- problem.
